Virtual Math and Reading Tutor - EQPD Learning

Are you passionate about making a difference in K-12 students’ lives? Join our team as an Academic Tutor with EQPD where you’ll deliver high-dosage tutoring in a virtual setting. As a tutor, you’ll work closely with students, fostering strong connections while supporting their academic success and having a growth mindset. Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions following EQPD’s structured framework
  • Build strong rapport and connections with students to encourage engagement and academic success
  • Support students in Reading (1st-5th grade) or Math (1st-8th grade) 
  • Participate in ongoing paid professional learning to enhance tutoring skills 
  • Tutor in a fully virtual setting - requiring a computer, webcam, microphone, and a reliable internet connection 

 

Qualifications Required: 

  • Must have accepted a Federal Work-Study award for the current academic year.
  • Strong English language skills
  • Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues
  • Complete EQPD certifications (10-15 hours) after acceptance to the program
  • Access to Google Drive, Internet browser software, Email software, Zoom
  • Access to a computer/tablet with a working webcam, microphone, speakers, and reliable internet connection that is necessary for video conferencing

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and EQPD staff
  • Reliability & commitment—meeting with students at the same time each week
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to track and submit accurate records
  • Willingness to learn and apply EQPD’s curriculum framework with coaching support
  • Strong organizational skills to follow processes efficiently
