KAF High Low Library Assistant Internship - Kranzberg Arts Foundation

The High Low Library Assistant Internship at the Kranzberg Arts Foundation offers hands-on experience in library organization, book curation, and public-facing support. This role is ideal for library science, literature, humanities, or arts administration students passionate about connecting the public to books and literary resources. Interns will assist with managing the High Low Café Library collections and select residential libraries, helping foster a welcoming and engaging literary environment. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage, catalog, and organize books in the High Low Café and residential libraries.
  • Assist with book shelving, labeling, and collection maintenance.
  • Curate and refresh book displays to reflect current events, themes, or collections.
  • Support library donations and patron inquiries.
  • Help maintain a tidy, browsable space. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Must have accepted a Federal Work-Study award for the current academic year. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest in books, literature, and public engagement.
  • Comfort working independently and managing shared spaces.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor with patrons.
  • Ability to maintain systems for tracking inventory and usage.
