Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri - Mentoring Program Support
ABOUT BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF EASTERN MISSOURI:
This position will help facilitate initial match introductions between Big Brother Big Sister volunteers, youth and their parents. These match introductions are hosted at our office between 4-7:30pm Tuesday through Thursday. The purpose of these meetings are to create a welcoming environment where participants will get to know one another and review our agency policies.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties include:
- Prepare Match Introduction Packets
- Set Up Meeting Space
- Greet and Welcome Participants
- Present/Facilitate the Match Introduction Powerpoint In Person to the participants
- Administrative task such as completing surveys with participants via phone, and documenting the results and conducting background checks
Required Qualifications:
- Must have accepted a Federal Work-Study award for the current academic year.
- Relationship Building/Interpersonal Skills
- Public Speaking
- Attention to Details
- Available T/W/Thursday 4-7:30pm
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with youth and families
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite
