Grand Center - Cardinal Ritter - Community Engagement and Student Advising Internship

Job Description:

This position will open a large network for the intern in which they can build from. The intern will assist with obtaining leads for high school and college student placement. The intern will all assist with one of the biggest events we have which is Career Day. The intern will perform administrative duties in the Guidance department such as data tracking, copying and submitting transcripts for college admission and circulating college scholarship information.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with seeking prospective companies and organizations to hire interns or provide paid training programs.
  • Seek grants that support workforce development.
  • Market the program on LinkedIn by highlighting activities and events of interns.
  • Assist with Career Day by creating guest schedules, guest biography documents and prospecting speakers.
  • Organize and manage the records in the guidance department (student files)
  • Answer phones/give breaks (front office)
  • Assist with copying and other clerical duties to support the guidance department.
  • Miscellaneous duties assigned for projects and events

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have accepted a Federal Work-Study award for the current academic year.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be willing to research information and resources.
  • Must be assertive and comfortable with talking to people-networking.
  • Must complete Protecting God’s Children training.
  • Must complete Prevent and Protect modules.
