Grand Center - St. Louis Symphony Orchestra - Marketing Assistant

​​The Marketing Assistant will gain professional marketing/non-profit exposure and experience working with members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Marketing and Communications team.  This position requires approximately 15-20 hours per week and may be scheduled around school requirements. Position reports to Associate Director, Marketing and Audience Development.​ 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • ​Assist with email campaign execution in Wordfly, including list pulls, drafting content, formatting layouts, and supporting deployment of marketing emails. 
  • ​Support the coordination and distribution of marketing materials, raffles and flyers, across campus and community locations, helping manage inventory and ensure timely placement. 
  • ​Assist with processing and tracking department invoices, maintaining accurate records, and supporting basic budget documentation. 
  • ​Assist with preparation and execution of on-site marketing efforts, including organizing promotional materials, supporting event setup, and maintaining presentation of tables and signage. 
  • ​Provide general support to the Marketing and Communications team, including organizing assets, preparing materials, and assisting with special projects as needed. 

 

Required Qualifications/Skills: 

  • Must have accepted a Federal Work-Study award for the current academic year. 
  • ​​​Must be pursuing a degree in the fields of Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or Music 
  • ​Motivated individual with strong organizational, writing and communication skills 
  • ​Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • ​Ability to attend occasional night and weekend events 
  • ​Ability to work with confidential data 
  • ​Must represent the SLSO in a professional manner​ 

 

Preferred Qualifications/Skills: 

  • ​​​Knowledge and passion for music is a plus​​
