Gene Slay’s Girls’ and Boys’ Club — Teaching Assistant
Job Duties:
• Supervise Girls and Boys Club members
• Prepare classroom for class activities
• Provides guidance and is a role model to members
• Engage in activities and games with youth
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Implement curriculum set by the Education Specialists in the areas of Athletics, College and Career Readiness , Math , Literacy and Character Development
• Communicate curriculum plan to youth throughout program schedule
• Assist Girls and Boys Club members with homework and acquiring strong study skills
• Maintain accurate records on youth participation and educational skills
Workers are required to provide their own transportation. Hours above and beyond FWS allocations are available.
