Gateway Greening - School Gardener
● Gateway Greening supports more than 60 school gardens throughout St. Louis City and County. These gardens help youth learn through hands-on activities, experience fresh, local food, and strengthen their school and community. School gardens frequently need extra community support and love to be successful, so we need you!
● The School Gardener will support and/or lead garden-based activities at school gardens or work with school garden leaders to maintain garden spaces. Activities could include facilitating lessons, planting, harvesting, weeding, and watering.
● School Gardeners will gain skills in teaching, facilitating, growing their own food, and community engagement.
● No experience is necessary. This is a part-time and season-dependent position. A background check is required for School Gardeners who interact with youth.
