The Fit and Food Connection - Volunteer Coordinator Intern
The Fit and Food Connection is a non-profit organization serving families in the St. Louis community working to provide healthy-living programming through our five programs including our Organic Community Garden, Food Assistance, GroupFit, Group Nutrition, and One-on-One Program.
Our Volunteer Coordinator Intern will bring strong interpersonal and communications skills, solid organizational skills, and ability to multi-task to positively impact our community, our organization, and those in need. They will help in managing our world-wide volunteer network including:
· Update volunteer intake survey as roles changes
· Respond to volunteer surveys that have been submitted by prospective volunteers
· Manage the placement of ads for volunteers on VolunteerMatch, Idealist, and United Way
· Implement systems to interact with volunteers as well as manage gestures of appreciation and thanks for current volunteers
· Collaborate to develop new volunteer recruitment strategies
· Collaborate to keep a list of current volunteers up-to-date
· Collaborate to ensure new volunteers have access to Slack, our primary communication tool
· Collaborate with our Volunteer Communications Lead to ensure Slack is kept current with all the latest and greatest info pertinent to volunteers
· Help organize volunteer data
