Learn the basics of running a Campus Kitchen! The employee will be assisting the coordinator with daily operations.  

Responsibilities may include:

  • Volunteer Management: recruit, train and retain volunteers to support the Campus Kitchen's basic operations of food recovery, meal preparation and meal delivery
  • Operations Management: lead volunteers in the safe preparation, accompany groups on delivery of Campus Kitchen meals
  • Program Communications: promote the local Campus Kitchen via website updates, and communications with partner agencies, working with client population
  • The majority of the work is performed on the SLU campus.
  • Prefer applicants with a car for deliveries and food pick-ups. This will be a 5-12 hour a week position with some weekend hours, candidates with a car preferred
