Urban Harvest STL Food Roof Farm - Urban Farmer
Urban Harvest STL operates the FOOD ROOF Farm, the first of its kind rooftop farm in St. Louis. Located in the heart of downtown, the 1/5 acre farm includes green roof farm fields, hydroponics, a greenhouse, chickens, vertical gardens, a pollinator garden, a community garden and a community hub space where we host a series of events and workshops throughout the year.
We are seeking 3-4 Urban Farmers to work with the Farm Manager on daily farm operations ranging from: seeding, planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops; participating in food donation programs with partner charities; tending to chickens; tracking harvest, distribution and donation; and assisting with construction and maintenance projects on the farm.
No experience is necessary. There are various other aspects of the project that the candidate can participate in as desired, from working events, taking video and photographs, blogging, etc.
This is a part time position for one or more more morning each week (Tuesdays through Sundays) between 9a-1p.
Transportation is needed from SLU Campus.
