Seed St. Louis supports more than 90 school gardens throughout St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Madison County, IL, and St. Clair County, IL. These gardens help youth learn through hands-on activities, experience fresh, local food, and strengthen their school and community. School gardens frequently need extra community support and love to be successful, so we need you!

The School Gardener will support and/or lead garden-based activities at
school gardens or work with school garden leaders to maintain garden
spaces. Activities could include facilitating lessons, creating educator resources, planting, harvesting, weeding, watering, and conducting site visits to school gardens.
School Gardener will gain skills in teaching, facilitating, growing their own
food, and community engagement.

● No experience is necessary. This is a part-time and season-dependent position. A background check is required for School Gardeners who interact with youth.
● Valid driver’s license is helpful but not necessarily required.
● Internship Timeline: Summer (June-Aug)
● Up to 20 hours per week, depending on availability
