City of Webster Groves - Planning & Zoning Intern
The City of Webster Groves is seeking an intern with an interest in planning and zoning or library science as well as municipal government services. The Webster Groves Planning & Zoning internship will offer valuable hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of Planning and Zoning. The Planning & Zoning Intern could assist with items such as providing administrative support to Planning & Zoning staff; performing data entry; maintain database of scanned images; sorting, organizing and cataloging documents; researching required records retention requirements; maintaining records preservation processes, etc. Specific responsibilities and projects are somewhat flexible to allow opportunity to match the Intern’s work assignments to areas of study and interest for a meaningful experience. Qualifications include High School diploma or equivalent and must be currently enrolled in college coursework in the areas of Planning & Zoning, Community Development, Library Sciences, Historic Preservation, History, Business Administration, or other related programs. Ideal candidates will have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, ability to learn document scanning, attention to detail, ability to climb stairs, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and able to work 15 hours per week minimum.
