Arts and Education Council - Special Projects/Nonprofit Management Intern

Assists with developing, coordinating and implementing special projects and new initiatives for the Arts and Education Council including, but not limited to, research, grantee evaluation, resource management for the Catalyst Innovation Lab and community relations. Provide support to the President and CEO of the Arts and Education Council related to new initiatives. Evaluate grantees to ensure they meet the mission, policies, procedures, and quality standards of A&E. In collaboration with other departments, assist with the evaluation process of A&E grant programs including data collection, analysis and recommendations; prepare detailed reports on criteria and best practices through researching similar organizations. Assist with establishing linkages with arts organizations; perform research, outreach and resource development. Assist with the development of an annual plan for creating a community wide campaign for the arts. Assist with the managing the resources and development of the Catalyst Innovation Lab within the Centene Center for the Arts. Maintain resource listing for the implementation of projects and events; document logistics, policies and procedures, and best practices. Support special projects and new initiatives. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.

 

Basic skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel required; knowledge of database applications. Demonstrated competence for assessing and managing competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Self-starter with strong work ethic and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well in teams.
