Casa de Salud - Patient Experience Associate
Description:
The Patient Experience Associate (PEA) staffs the front desk and is the first contact patients, volunteers and community members have with Casa de Salud. They play a significant role in maintaining patient medical records and managing transactions for services. Project-specific opportunities may be available. Hours are flexible, standard shift is 3-5 hours with max 15 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet patients in a kind manner over the phone or in person
- Share community health and social services resources with patients, as needed
- Document in Casa’s electronic medical record in a timely, professional, and accurate manner
- Assist in scheduling appointments, documenting reschedules and cancellations
- Assist patients check in and check out for services rendered at Casa de Salud
- Provides administrative support, as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 360 and Google Suite
- Commitment to working with underserved patient populations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Availability for 2-3 of the following shifts: Tues 8:30am – 12:30pm, Tues 4:00pm – 8:00pm, Wednesday 12:30pm – 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am – 12:30pm, Friday 12:30pm – 4:30pm
- Interest in medical field or similar
- Previous experience as a receptionist or with customer service
