Midtown Community Services - Summer Camp Group Leader

Maintain a positive, fun, and engaging demeanor throughout the day

Follow Camper Safety protocols- camper sign in/ sign out book; van riding; allergies; field trips; etc.

To provide leadership and guidance to all campers through a variety of games, crafts, sports, field trips, and other camp activities

Take primary responsibility for the health, well-being, and happiness of campers

Learn the likes and dislikes of each camper

Set a good example for campers in all areas, including cleanliness, punctuality, clean-up chores, rules, Safe Space, and sportsmanship

Observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures and apply appropriate behavior management techniques.

Adapt camp activities to include all campers

Provide emotional support and encouragement to campers

Work as a part of a team and provide assistance to Group Leader(s) and other Junior Leaders

Communicate effectively and professionally with campers, other staff members, and families.
